Casein Chocolate Pudding

This is the perfect healthy bedtime dessert: Casein Chocolate Pudding made with Ekopura Casein. It's super quick and easy to make and you don't need food processors. Just a bowl, a spoon, 4 ingredients and it's ready in 2 minutes! Not only is it super easy to make, but it's also low in carbs, high in protein, gluten-free and all natural!

Why is this the perfect healthy bedtime dessert?

With only 4 ingredients, this easy-to-make snack is perfect for when you're short on time or just want something delicious that doesn't take long to make. Because we used casein protein in this recipe, it is the ideal dessert or snack before you go to bed. Casein is what they call a slow protein that gives your body the protein it needs throughout the night. This is great if you work out a lot and want your body to recover at night. In addition, casein protein also helps you feel full all night, so you won't wake up hungry. If you want to read more about casein protein, you can read the blog we wrote a while ago.

Recipe:

Time: 2 minutes
Portions: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop of Ekopura Casein Protein
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup cold almond milk
  • 1 tbsp almond butter or coconut butter

Here's how to make the pudding:

Step 1 - Pour the cold almond milk into the bowl and add the Ekopura protein powder and cocoa powder.

Step 2 - Stir well with a spoon (or a whisk) until there are no more lumps and the pudding is thick and glossy.

Step 3 - Once most of the lumps are gone, add the almond butter (or coconut butter) and stir again.

You can eat the pudding right away or you can store it in the refrigerator for later. We recommend keeping it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes for the best texture, as it will continue to thicken in the fridge.

Et voila! It's that easy.

Tips:

  • We recommend using (very) cold milk as this will help thicken the consistency of the pudding as it will harden the almond butter.
  • To make the pudding a little thicker, add some more almond butter.
  • If you want to eat this as an afternoon snack, you can also prepare it with other Ekopura proteins such as: Vegan Chocolate, Vegan Vanilla or Whey Natural.
