Which is better, Whey or Vegan Protein?
Vegan protein is not inferior to whey protein in terms of protein content. The absorption of protein by the body is also good in both cases. Although with vegan protein, the body has to work a little harder to process it and it will therefore be absorbed a little slower. However, this need not be a problem at all. In terms of taste, whey protein is a bit creamier and more "milkshake" like. In terms of sustainability, vegan protein wins out over whey because much more raw materials and water are used in the production of milk.
What is Ekopura Vegan Protein made of?
Ekopura Vegan Proteins are blends of different plant-based proteins. Yellow pea protein is at the base of each flavor. Garden bean protein is added to this to ensure that each flavor contains a complete amino acid profile (BCAAs). See below for the ingredients for each flavor:

Does it contain a complete Amino Acid profile?
Yes, our vegan proteins are formulated to contain a full amino acid profile including all BCAAs. Exact amino acid profile values can be found under the nutritional values tab on this product page.
What is the shelf life?
The shelf life is always listed on the back of the package, at the bottom. We guarantee a minimum shelf life of 9 months.
So it is possible to purchase several products at a time for a longer period.
What is the best way to store the products?
The products are best kept sealed and at room temperature, out of direct sunlight and out of reach of children. The ideal temperature is between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
What are the health benefits?
Ekopura vegan protein promotes muscle recovery, muscle building and muscle maintenance. When you combine it with strength training you will promote muscle growth and muscle recovery. When you combine it with endurance sports you will stimulate muscle recovery. In addition, vegan protein is good for strong bones.
How to use Ekopura Vegan Protein?
Mix 1 scoop of protein powder (+/- 25g) with 250ml of water, (nut) milk or juice to make a tasty shake or smoothie. For mixing you can use a blender or a shaker use. Also delicious to mix with fresh fruit and other ingredients to make delicious smoothies. In addition, you can use Ekopura protein powder through oatmeal, through (vegetable) yogurt or for baking. Can you take it during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Yes, this product is a good supplement to get enough or extra protein, even during pregnancy. The vegan protein is pure, unprocessed and organic. Therefore, we can guarantee that no artificial additives, GMOs or other harmful substances are present in the product. Please consult a doctor in case of doubt. Do you prefer to use milk proteins? Does Ekopura Vegan Protein contain any allergens?
No, Ekopura Vegan Protein is allergen-free. However, the protein powder does contain peas, a legume.
