You should absolutely avoid these ingredients in food

To produce our diet as cheaply as possible, rainforests are cut down or burned down, people must work under miserable conditions and are used in many products chemical and unhealthy additives. Additions are used in food for centuries to improve the appearance and taste and extend the shelf life. However, these substances add more value to the producer than for consumers. Fortunately we become increasingly aware of our diet and now choose faster for natural ingredients without artificial and unhealthy additives.

In this article we get a little deeper in this and you will find out what you should pay attention to. So read the labels of the products you buy and watch the following points because these ingredients you should absolutely avoid in food!

Palm oil

It is rebuilt in Southeast Asia (mainly Indonesia) and nowadays also in South America. Each rainforests are burned down daily to make room for palm oil plantations. With this, the lungs of our world and the habitat of endangered animal species such as the Orang Oetan lost. Palm oil is the cheapest oil for the food industry and is processed by almost all major brands in products that we use daily without having it.

There are various quality marks such as RSPO (Sustainable Palm Oil) that pretend to be produced with respect for nature. However, the palm oil market is so opaque because of the many different plantations and traders that almost cannot figure out the origin of the palm oil. Our advice, consume no products that contain palm oil at all, you know for sure that you are okay.

Transfortes are without a doubt the most unhealthy fats in our diet. They are not only one of the main causes of overweight but also of common and even life-threatening disorders. Nowadays, fats are increasingly being discussed. Trans fats occur both in saturated fats and in animal fats. So they have little or no positive influence on our health.

Products with many trans fats include:

  • sweets, cookies, pastries,
  • fried food, chips, many frozen foods (croquettes, curry sausages, burgers, frikadellen),
  • edited meat, bread spent,
  • Ready and ready meals
  • Instant sauces and industrial sauces.

Aspartame

From a study published in 1990 in Physiology & Behavior, it turned out that Aspartame took care of more appetite. This is because our hunger and saturation feeling is disrupted. In addition, aspartame can also ensure that your body stores more fat and that you get more in sugars and simple carbohydrates.

Aspartame is an artificial sweetener that is about 200 times as sweet as sugar and contains hardly any calories. Aspartame is also known under the name E951 and is in more than 6,000 foods and in more than 500 medications. Because aspartame is 200 times sweeter than contains sugar and low calories, it is mainly used in sweet light products.

Products where aspartame is used a lot:

  • Light products
  • Soft drink
  • Sweets
  • Sugar arm sweets

Acrylamide

Acrylamide is a carcinogenic. It increases the chance of the creation of cancer. This makes it very controversial. In America it must be stated on the packaging. For the time being that does not have to be in the Netherlands. Chips and fries contain the highest concentrations of acrylamide. Starch rich products, frying, roasting, barbecue, baking, frying and grilling all contribute to the formation.

This chemical compound is created when starches are heated as cereals and potatoes above 100 Ā° C.

Acrylamide is in:

  • Chips, Salties, French fries
  • bread
  • Peppernuts
  • gingerbread
  • Breakfast cereals

AZO dyes

AZO dyes are synthetic dyes. They are brightly colored, especially red, orange and yellow. AZO dyes are synthetic dyes that can cause hyperactivity and concentration disorders in children. Scientists are still very divided about the extent to which AZO dyes are harmful. The European Parliament decided that manufacturers of products containing AZO dyes should indicate this on the label as a precaution. Bio + products are free from AZO dyes and can therefore be eaten with confidence.

They come in brightly colored candy, soft drinks and some alcoholic drinks. In other words, products that you don't need for a healthy eating pattern.

Flavor

Taste amplifiers are indicated with the numbers E620 to E650.

They are added to food because theyĀ  Strengthen the natural taste of a product or aĀ  Add extra taste. The best known taste enhancer is glutamate. Glutamate is not a dangerous E number, sets the power supply center. Products with glutamate can be eaten daily.

There is a chance that you will eat more through glutamate. But why? Chips is a good example of this. You often eat more than you have intended and before you know it is empty. What does glutamate do? Glutamate ensures that your blood sugar falls (normally it rises when you eat). The consequence of this is that you get more attractive. In addition, the effect of glutamate is that you don't get a call when you are saturated. That's why you keep litĀ  And that can have negative consequences for your weight.

HFCS

HFCS is the abbreviation of High Fructose Corn Syrup, a syrup that is often called glucose-fructose syrup, glucose syrup, fructose syrup or corn syrup in the Netherlands. Because it is made of corn, many people think that it is healthy. But It is a thick maker that is anything but healthy. Unfortunately, the syrup is actually processed everywhere in it in, for example, spelled cruesli, delicious craft breads and organic soups.

production

Organic food and superfoods are bred in a different way than the average supermarket food. Organic agriculture is an agricultural form in which environmental effects and animal welfare are explicitly taken into account. Think of more living space for the animals, no artificial additives, less use of pesticides and fertilizer. There are stricter regulations for organic farming than for those of conventional agriculture.

Other choices are also made in the production of organic food. For example, farmers use organic foods do not use preventive antibiotics and only natural pesticides. The use of fertilizers is also reduced as much as possible. Proponents of organic food and superfoods believe that important, because those antibiotics, pesticides and fertilizers there are all kinds of toxins in our body.
